Promotion activities in Germany

As part of the targeted information and promotion activities of the EUFruitBasket program in Germany, the tasting days activity was carried out from 28/11 to 6/12 (excluding Sundays) at selected retail locations in the Munich area.

The activity was designed to support the program’s main objective: increasing the consumption of fresh European fruit by informing consumers about balanced, healthy dietary habits and the benefits of making fruit part of everyday life.

During the tasting days, consumers received informational materials and had the opportunity to taste European kiwifruit and kaki (persimmon), while also being informed about the campaign’s key messages in Germany, linked to the well-known “5 am Tag” recommendation (five portions of fruit and vegetables per day).

The activity took place in REWE and Nahkauf stores in Munich and the wider area (indicatively: Neuried, Aschheim, Poing, Fürstenfeldbruck, Diedorf, Unterföhring), serving as a direct and effective point of contact with consumers. In this way, EUFruitBasket practically reinforces its message: European fruit combines quality, freshness and reliability, and can be an everyday choice as part of a balanced diet.
