European peaches and nectarines are grown in an ecosystem of unique biodiversity in Greece, ideal for peach and nectarine cultivation. Following a centuries-old tradition, the local farmers handle and manage the land and its fruits with the utmost care and respect.
The varieties of European peaches and nectarines ripen sequentially, from mid-June to the end of September. The characteristics of these varieties are flavor consistency, high sugar and fiber content and low acidity. They ripen naturally on the tree, and they are harvested and packed by hand in the field, preserving traditional methods of harvesting. In doing so, maximum concentration of the organoleptic and taste properties of fruit is achieved and any physical damage is avoided till the fruit reach the consumer table.
